The Master Classics of Poker (MCOP) is one of the longest-running live poker tournament series. Last year, the festival doubled its event schedule to include more than two dozen events to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
This year's schedule is equally as big for its 26th edition taking place at the Holland Casino Amsterdam from Nov. 15-25.
The highlight of the poker festival is, of course, the MCOP €4,300 Main Event. Last year, local Dutch player Hakim Zoufri won the event for €275,608 after outlasting a field of 356 entrants.
That marked the fourth time this decade the trophy was kept on home soil as David Boyaciyan (2011 - €382,200), Noah Boeken (2013 - €306,821) and Ruben Visser (2014 - €306,821) also notched recent victories in the Main Event.
Main Event
This year's Main Event should prove to be equally exciting. The tournament is a deep-stacked affair with players starting out with 30,000 in chips. Blind levels increase every 60 minutes during the first two opening flights on Nov. 17 and Nov. 21 and every 20 minutes during a turbo-flight on Nov. 21.
Players bagging chips will combine for Day 2 on Nov. 22 and the tournament will play through Nov. 24 until a winner is crowned. Starting on Day 3, blinds go up to 75 minutes, providing players a deeper structure.
The schedule features many satellites to some of the bigger events including six €330 qualifiers to the Main Event.

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is once again returning to Holland Casino Amsterdam for 13 action-packed events from April 13-21.
The festival kicks off with the €1,500 WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam on April 13-16. Players will have plenty of chances to build a huge stack with the action beginning with 25,000 chips and unlimited entries permitted on each of the three opening flights on April 13-14. The first two opening flights will feature 40-minute blind levels while the third opening flight being faster-paced with 20-minute blind levels.
Surviving players will compete on April 15-16 until there is one person standing.
Casino Amsterdam Netherlands
The highlight of the poker festival is the five-day WPT Amsterdam €3,300 Main Event on April 16-20. Last year, Kazakhstan's Daniyar Aubakirov outlasted a field of 224 entrants to win the €152,600 ($167,200) top prize.
The Main Event is a deep-stacked affair with players kicking off the action in two opening flights on April 16-17 with 30,000 in chips and blinds increasing every hour. Players bagging chips will play for three more days until a winner is crowned.
The €6,000 WPT Amsterdam High Roller takes place on the tail end of the Main Event on April 19-21 with players starting with 50,000 in chips and blind levels increasing every 40 minutes.
The schedule also features many other side-events starting at just €275 and satellites to the bigger events starting at €165.
